From the Worshipful Master
The year in review.
I have found this past year both rewarding and challenging to myself. To be the Master of Wayfarers Lodge 50 has to be one of the best experiences I have ever done.
The way the members come together is a testament to the teachings of Freemasonry. I am very proud to call you my brothers. As my year comes to an end, I will do what is needed of myself to help the lodge in any way possible. Knowing that the lodge is in good hands with the next Master. I want to say thank you to all the members for making the year memorable to myself.
There are some things we got accomplished, some things are still in the works and in long term planning stages. I believe the lodge is headed in the right direction for the future with a strong line and the new members coming up through the degrees. We will do great things if we all work together.
Thank you,
Ken Olsen

The year in review.
It’s been an exciting year at Wayfarers. Throughout the year, we’ve been able to get more Masons in the seats at our meetings and started a great partnership with two lodges.
We were able to see two Entered Apprentices pass to the degree of Fellowcraft, and one of them be raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason.
We were able to visit Bethel 22 at their “new” home, Sun City Lodge to represent Wayfarers for both an initiation and a meeting – where WM Ken learned not to wear boots as WM at Jobie meetings.
It’s also been a sad year. We’ve seen many Masons be called to the Celestial Lodge above, and we keep them all in our thoughts.
Looking forward to next year, we will keep up the Lodge activity, and look for ways to get more men knocking on our door.

The year in review.
First, I want to thank everyone for entrusting me to be your Jr. Warden, I hoped that I served you well. I believe lodges have swings upward and downward, and I feel this year was the beginning of an upswing. The commitment from the WM coming from Flagstaff to Phoenix, and so many members that live in excess of 30 and 40 miles away shows a level of commitment rarely seen these days.
Although we didn’t raise very many new brothers, the ones we did raise are quality contributing members which our lodge can look forward to leading us in the future. Our ritual work is getting better, we had more brother learning a lecture and with our Master elect, I expect this progress to continue in a positive way.
What I’m most proud of is the fellowship and brotherly love we seem to have within our members. Our lodge doesn’t create a lot of drama, and we support each other by being there with an attentive ear, or instructive tongue. As we laugh and tease each other with quips that cut to the bone, we although care for each other, and care for each other’s well-being.
I want to thank everyone that served Wayfarers in any capacity, and hope that you will commit yourselves to attending next year, and contributing to our meetings, events and work days to keep Wayfarer’s a place we can all be proud of being associated with.
Fraternally,
Doug Steele JW/PM
