Trestle Board November 2013

November 7th, 2013

From the Worshipful Master

Hello Brethren,

As most of you are aware, our SM on the 12th will be our annual election of officers. A strong turn-out would be really great. We’re also voting on several petitions for the degrees and we’ll be discussing a few changes to our by-laws. Dinner (as always) is at 6pm. There will be burgers & hot dogs, chips, potato & Macaroni salad & some sweets.

The O.E.S. annual Turkey Dinner will be held at the lodge on Saturday the 16th from 11am to 2pm. The ladies really put a lot of effort into this event every year and it has always been a very worthwhile endeavor. I hope to see you all there with lots of friends and family.

The Masonic Family Picnic was a splendid day at Roadrunner Park. The weather was beautiful, the food was great and the fellowship was quite magnificent. I’m sad for all of you who missed it. The seven of us who attended the event enjoyed it immensely.

One last item; due to the O.E.S. Turkey Dinner being in direct conflict with our usual work day, the work day will be postponed to the following Saturday.

Sincerely & Fraternally,

George Daggett

From the Senior Warden

Brothers,

We are approaching the end of another year and with this comes many great events and many renewed commitments. The OES Turkey Dinner will be held on November 16th, from 11am to 2pm, and I hope you and your family will come and support our sisters in the OES. The Lodge is actively selling tickets to our fund raising raffle “Pick Your Prize”, please purchase on-line and the tickets will be mailed to you or ask me, as I have tickets available.

Election of officers will be at our November Stated Meeting, your voice is needed to elect who will serve in our leadership roles in the ensuing year. Please come out and support the lodge in our elections, this is an obligation that all members should take to heart.

Installation of officers will be held on Dec. 7th from 3pm-5pm, and is an open event, everyone is welcome.

Fraternally,

Doug Steele
Senior Warden

From the Junior Warden

Brothers and Friends,

This year has flown by! We have had many challenges but we have also had many rewards. I am grateful to all who have assisted with our many events this year. We had several successful fund raising meal events and I cannot thank everyone who assisted enough for their time and effort away from their families in the service to our Lodge. It shows that we have a wonderfully active, heartfelt, and dynamic family indeed.

I am personally looking forward to the petitions that we have in the works currently. We plan on balloting on three men who have petitioned for the degrees this upcoming Tuesday and of course our elections will be held at stated meeting as well. These voting events are a great time to have your voice heard and to come and support the Lodge and it’s future.

I also would like to take a moment and thank everyone who has come out and support our education round-table discussions. That is the other hat I wear in the lodge and the turn-outs that we have had have been amazing. Even WB Gene showed up to our last one! I was very grateful to see him come and participate and his participation always teaches us something. For this month we will be having an alternate program in lieu of our regular course of study due to the holidays. Please come and enjoy a video that will be presented at the Lodge on that evening.

I am looking forward to our final push for this year, and I am looking forward to next year and great things to come.

Yours in the Craft,

Jason Michlowitz
Junior Warden
