From the Worshipful Master
Brothers August is here and we will be having a second degree on the 21st for Brother Steven Thomas and the 28th for Brother Pat Corrigan.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and that is has been a safe one. My thanks to Brother Tim Thomas And Worshipful Brother Doug Steele for the work they have done at the lodge because it is looking great. The Star’s room is done and ready for paint, all the plants have been trimmed picked up.
Next month we will be having a Breakfast at the lodge on the 22nd of September. Our Senior deacon Jason Will be getting the times to you soon.
Our DeMolay chapter has moved its meeting nights from Wednesday to the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s at 6:30pm. This has been done in an effort to help our DeMolays make the meetings. It conflicting with boy scouts, and sports. We are in hopes that this will also help to bring in new members. So if you know any young man between 12 and 21 that might be interested let me know.

Brethren,
Recent weeks have been traumatic for several brothers, their families and their close friends. Dealing with the death of a loved one is one of the most difficult of life’s experiences. While marked by profound pain, these experiences bring true friends closer together. Sincere affection and compassion are what we all can contribute to help each other through such difficult times. Having seen such selfless love and devotion to others in recent weeks, I am proud to be a part of the Wayfarers family. Thank you all, who gave so freely of yourselves to aid and assist.
We will be passing two initiates this month. Please come out and support us on the 21th and the 28th for these degrees. More brothers make for a more impressive experience for our candidates, and the fellowship benefits all of us.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
Fraternally,
George Daggett

The dog days of summer currently suppress much motivation but this is the price we pay for wonderful winters. It is easy to understand why the lodgeoriginally would go dark during this time of year. An evaporative cooler is wholly ineffective and a meeting or degree would be taxing, if not near fatal, for everyone.
Today, the darkness is serving as a nice respite from the bustle of the fall, winter and spring. We have a chance to relax and refocus. Soon our lives will explode again with the demands of school, the liturgical year and the rest of our Masonic year. We should be poised to enjoy the busy times by seeking refreshment and repose during this slower one.
It is time for our Entered Apprentices to focus on nailing their proficiencies and progressing in the degrees. As each one of the new brothers is passed to the second degree he absolutely needs to attend each subsequent second degree to witness and grow in Fellowcraft Masonry. Going through the degree is just a beginning in the understanding of Freemasonry.
Fraternally,
Jeremy Borie

Brothers and Friends,
We are in ever changing times and as such we must keep up with those changes. We have made a number of adjustments to our website, our Facebook page, and we are considering other avenues as far as getting the word out about or events. I invite you to comment on all of the different things that we have going on and engage in discussion. We certainly do not want to preclude older brothers who still use phone and standard mail for communications but we are wanting to speed communications for those brothers that have taken advantage of the internet and all it has to offer. Thank you for your patience as we transition ownership of the site from WB Ron Watkins to myself and the growing pains that are occurring as a result. I am grateful to be entrusted with this responsibility.
Fraternally,
Jason Michlowitz

Normally I would not put these on the Trestle Board, but I have done so because of the shortness of the time frame. Please support their cause.
