From the Worshipful Master
Brothers July is here and we currently have no degree work. Coaches we need to get our E.A.’s focused so we can get them passed. As well our DeMolay Chapter is moving its meeting night to the first and third Sunday’s at 6:30 pm starting in September. We hope that this will help them to bring in more members and not so much a conflict With school sports and those that are in Boy Scouts. I hope all have a safe and enjoyable fourth

From the Senior Warden
Brethren,
The full brunt of summer is upon us and Wayfarers, like nearly all other Arizona lodges, is dark. This is an excellent time for officers to gather for ritual and proficiency practices. Some such meetings will be scheduled soon and added to the calendar.
Our security system will be installed over the summer, work will continue on our website and our E.A.s will continue to study for and complete their proficiencies. September is right around the corner and the bustle of activity will resume. So, enjoy the summer and be safe. We’ll see you in September.
Fraternally,
George Daggett S.W.
From the Junior Warden
Last month we had an event to honor the service of the Past Masters of Wayfarers. This was an important event and a brilliant concept on the part of our Worshipful Master. Worshipful Brother Doug finally got the ribeye steak he has always requested (and deserved).
Thinking about the time, effort and dedication that our Past Masters have given to Wayfarers, we understand why they are afterward addressed as ‘Worshipful Brother’. They have maintained and improved the lodge. They have also maintained and improved the bothers, organizing and leading along the way. They have attended Grand Lodge, district meetings and other obligations in the administration of the lodge. They have mentored those following them. They put in their time going up the line and then gave themselves to the brothers as their Master. It is necessary that we honor and appreciate their hard work.
Looking to the future, the line is an important part of Freemasonry and something that every man, who is able, should do. Freemasonry, like everything in life, requires time and a commitment to fully understand the lessons and scope. There is also an inherent shared responsibility to support the lodge and contribute to its leadership. Those brothers who are currently in the line should look forward to moving up and serving. The brothers who have been raised in the last couple of years should consider a position within the coming years. And finally, the brothers who are making their way through the degrees should start asking themselves about the commitment they can make.
Fraternally,
Jeremy Borie JW
